The Middlesex Companies began with the founding of Middlesex Paving Company in
1972 by Robert W. Pereira. His philosophy was to complete all projects properly and of the
highest quality, regardless of size. This philosophy still holds true today. As the
company grew, it gradually began branching out into larger construction projects. Mr.
Pereira and his employees took pride in the continuous improvement and quality results of
a dedicated team.
Through their hard work and experience, The Middlesex Corporation has grown into a
leader in the construction industry.
In 1998, The Middlesex Companies acquired Paquette
Paving, Inc of Leesburg, Florida and incorporated its asphalt
production, paving and site construction into our current operations.
Soon thereafter Asphalt Production LLC, another producer of bituminous
concrete, was also acquired. These companies are centrally located in
Lake County, Florida and have stabilized The Middlesex Companies
presence in the central Florida marketplace.
